In this project we were brought in to help manage business and technology efforts. Initially the relationship between the PMO team and stakeholders was very shaky. Nobody wanted to move forward with projects because of the issues they were having. We ended up delivering outcomes that were best for both the stakeholders and the team.
We were acquired to be the main project manager. We were asked to move the digital strategy along while also getting the agreement of company stakeholders. Then we implemented a ranking strategy on how they could attain a different consulting firm. As the project finished, we left them with a ranking strategy to use in the future when other business technology problems arise.
We were chosen to divulge the root issues of the PMO operations as the CIO was upset with the current state of the PMO. After performing an in-depth assessment of the PMO, the CIO was pleased with the results. Finally, we set expectations for the future delivery of project management operations.
